Time is often of the essence in the sale of real property, whether it is commercial, industrial or residential property.
Vendors may have commitments to purchase other property dependent on financing from the purchaser. Opportunities to relist or resell the property may have evaporated. Purchasers may have vacated other property and be in mid-move into the new premises. In the case of residential real estate transactions, these “inconveniences” can lead to significant costs and difficulties for the parties involved.

We also work with legal counsel and real estate agents to include alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in offers to purchase and in agreements of purchase and sale.
Real estate is a fairly new field of mediation yet the benefits are boundless for both the buyer and the seller. Real estate mediation allows both parties to sit with a neutral facilitator to seek solutions which may be beneficial to all.
