Family Services

The Mediation Centre offers different services to assist with your family needs.

If you are going through a separation or need changes made to your current agreement, you may need our family mediation services to assist with either a parenting plan or a compressive plan which includes property and pension. Maybe it's coaching, which can be with one or both parents to help you get through the tough times and help with making a plan or court order work. What about arbitration? It can assist families by having a decision made based on facts quicker than going to court.  Lawyers are usually involved for legal advice, but the process, which is binding, is less costly than going to court.

If you have teenager disputes or elder/senior disputes or estate/will issues that need to be discussed - we can help. This type of process can save time, avoid court and most important - save relationships.

We offer other programs like: Mandatory Information Sessions (MIP) that are free to the public. This helps parties understand what is expected at court if you have or are thinking of starting a court action, possible concerns about their children after separation and the resources available in the community.

However, there are also Family Law Information Centres. These centres provide resources and information about all aspects of separation and your community resources.
