Lisa Emms Wice
Lisa Emms Wice, AccFM --- Mediator since 1994
Owner/Executive Director

Lisa is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to reduce conflict in all walks of life.  She has been mediating family conflict since 1994 both within the court system and privately. Lisa is an original director/owner of The Mediation Centre.  Lisa was instrumental in securing The Centre’s first contract for family mediation services in our court. She initiated ‘onsite’ mediation as it’s used today in Ontario courts and implemented an education program for separated parents.

Lisa quickly became recognized as a specialist in dealing with high conflict families and in particular, an activist for children’s best interests.

By bringing people to an even table, Lisa’s advanced mediation skills and experience help those in conflict resolve the dispute and find ways of communicating in the future. In a neutral environment, clients can engage in the process of building a plan that outlines structure, enhances communication and includes strategies for long-term conflict resolution.

Studies indicate high conflict between parents is the single best predictor of a poor outcome for children in separation and divorce. By bringing parents to an even table, Claudette’s advanced mediation skills help parents shift the way they communicate with each other and lower their conflict level. In a caring and neutral environment, parents can engage in the process of building a parenting plan which outlines a parenting structure, enhances communication and includes strategies for long term conflict resolution.

Clients who develop parenting plans through mediation:

• preserve and enhance important relationships;
• provide children with the example of collaboration instead of adversity;
• save money and litigation time.
