Fundamentals of Family Mediation – 40 hours in two sessions

This 40 hour family mediation course is taught by Lisa and Carrie – it includes:

• Conflict Analysis and Management
• Dispute Resolution Process Options
• The Psychological needs of children resulting from parent’s separation
• Guest presenter – Mental Health \Professional
• Issues in separation including family dynamic
• Power imbalances
• Comprehensive family law as it relates to mediation
• Guest presenters- family lawyer Mediators, Judges
• Supervised role play – individual coaching
• Certificate and course materials.

Recommendation: complete mandatory family law for non lawyers prior to this 40 hr course

This experiential training focuses on such family matters as custody, access or parenting plans, child support/special expenses and property/asset division and spousal support. We have a mix of skills based curriculum, small group discussions and role play
