Teen Mediation
Teen mediation is a process which provides a neutral environment for teens and their parents (or maybe another teen at school) to explore and work out issues and areas of conflict. The mediators are trained to have an ‘objective ear’ and will not take sides.
The role of the mediator is to help both parties of the dispute have uninterrupted time to listen to the other person’s concerns and in doing so create healthier boundaries and productive communication. The focus is on working on the problem, not fixing the person.
